Allen Daniell

Allen Daniell was born in Amarillo, Texas and raised in Fritch, Texas. He's been playing music since he was ten. His grandmother (Irene Walston ) was a singer songwriter who wrote doowop songs. His mom played piano and his neighbor growing up turned him on to old blues records when he was 12. He was a drummer/singer in a few bands in Fritch when he was 18. He also played in the Jimi Hendrix National Guitar Competition in Hollywood, CA and came in 7th. He got to meet Jimi's sister and cousins; pretty cool for a kid from Fritch Texas. He moved to L.A. after that for 3 years where he got to meet and record tracks for a Sarah Michelle Gellar movie which fell through because of diffrent opinions. Allen studied at the local Musicians Institute where it gave him time to work on his voice, theory, and guitar skills. After graduating he moved back to Lubbock, Texas where he got to play with local celebrity Tennessee Tuckness. After a few months he grew tired of Lubbock and moved to Austin, Texas where he's had the privilege to play or open for many greats like Rob Roy Parnell, Chris Duarte, Storyville, Gary Clark jr, Guy Forsyth, Pinetop Perkins, Eric Tessmer, Dede Priest, Idgy Vaughn and tour the world all in his twenties. "I can only hope to obtain longevity in such an easy come easy go biz! I feel blessed to have been this far." A.D.
